Grilled Salmon

This simple marinade of soy sauce, brown sugar, a hint of lemon, and garlic give the rich salmon a sweet, savory flavor.

Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 15 min. | Total Time: 2 hr. 20 min.

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

·        1 lb. salmon fillets, salt and pepper to taste

·        1 garlic clove, diced

·        1 lemon, juiced

·        1/3 cup soy sauce

·        1/8 cup brown sugar

·        1/3 cup water

·        1/4 cup olive or avocado oil

Instructions:

1.      Season salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and garlic cloves.

2.      Stir lemon, soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil in a small bowl until sugar is dissolved.

3.      Place fish in a large Ziploc bag, add soy sauce mixture, seal, and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

4.      Preheat outdoor grill for medium heat.

5.      Place salmon on the preheated grill and discard marinade. Cook until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 6-8 minutes per side.

6.      Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy.
